Pardis Garden is the title sequence of the larger virtual reality world built for my final MFA thesis. The word “pardis” means “paradise” in persian, a title chosen for the virtual world or garden that was made for this project. The typography is a combination of the typeface APOC by Blaze Type foundry, chosen for the sharp angled serif which reminds me of cuneiform script, hence evoking a sense of the ancient past and deep future simultaneously. The “a” and the “s” are custom hand-drawn letters meant to evoke a more decorative garden-like feeling. The fragments of squares around the letters are taken from persian rug pattern grids.
