Pardis Garden

Pardis Garden is a virtual reality experience prototype created as part of my final MFA Thesis Project. Here I have modelled this space as an ancient Persian garden and invite viewers to leave notions of the familiar to an ancient future paradise. Ancient blueprints of the garden draw from the Zoroastrian division of the universe into four parts, four seasons, or four elements: “water, wind, soil and fire.” In Farsi, the word for garden, pardis, derives from the word paridaeza, which literally means “walled garden”.

There are four different spaces which I prototyped and built as part of this virtual experience. The Record Shop, The Anahita Temple, Dome of Extinct Birds and The Garden itself. For this project I am acting as both designer, architect, and director in creating the fictional world of the Pardis Garden.
